Regular and High Stack Milled Logs

The wider 6x8 regular stack log provides better insulation (higher R-value) and is a good choice for regions where the winters are cold. The thickness will help maximize heating efficiency and hold down utility costs. The profiles on the lower stack logs are similar to the profiles that we offer on the high stack logs.

In fact, if you look at our Milled Logs Style Sheet you will notice that we make more styles in the lower stack log then we do in the high stack logs. (Regular stack means that the logs are 5 1/2" tall, where high stack logs are 7 1/4" high. The same cants are used for both logs, the placement of the cant in the machine is different.)
