Log Cabin Kits

How often have you thought about owning your own log cabin? A cabin tucked away in that special spot? A place where routine, daily troubles are forgotten and you are free to pursue your favorite pastime to the fullest. We all have this dream at one time or another. Well, it doesn't have to be a dream.

Merrimac Log Homes offers a Log Camp Series blending the ease of sturdy log construction with rustic charm and simplicity. The cabins feature open areas for sleeping, gathering and dining, cathedral ceilings and full-length porches. These models are primarily intended for use as vacation or weekend cabins. They are ideal for campgrounds too! The return on investment for campgrounds is less then 18 months!

Currently, we have 3 kit models, named after New Hampshire rivers and lakes: The Contoocook Log Cabin Model which is a 12x18 Log Cabin with a 6x12 porch; The Merrimac Log Cabin Model which is a 16x18 Log Cabin with a 6x16 porch and, finally, the Winnipesaukee Log Cabin Model which is a 20x18 Log Cabin with a 6x20 porch. However, this does not limit you to pick one of our designs. We will gladly create a custom log cabin kit for you! We give our customer the flexibility to customize their Log Camp Cabin with their personal taste preferences by offering 2 building options:

1. Linear Length Log Kits: You build from your design or ours. If you have your own plan, we will estimate the quantity of logs and log products your plan requires, free of charge. You will be provided with all the logs, timbers and lumber needed to build your Log Cabin. The material will be provided in random lengths that are best suited for the log cabin you are building. We will provide you with log construction instructions as well as phone support.
   
2. Pre-Cut Log Kits: All material is precut, coded and tagged for construction. We include all wood products from our mill plus the log cabin accessories you need such as log screws, polyfoam insulation, caulking, windows and an exterior door. Instructions for assembly are included. We will also manufacture Pre-Cut Kits from your design plans. If you have your own plan, our consultants will estimate the quantity of logs and log products your plan requires, free of charge.
